Processed data, processing purposes and legal basis

The following data is processed from licensees in order to fulfill THREATGET-licence agreements: name, company, contact persons, contact details, information regarding the scope of the license. Without this data a license cannot be obtained.

The following data must be processed from technical devices of website visitors based on the legitimate interest to display the THREATGET website properly: ip-address, web browser-used, date and time of website visit. If website visitors contact us, their request and contact details will be processed based on the legitimate interest to answer their requests.

AIT hosted THREATGET instances

THREATGET instances hosted by AIT (mostly for Demo purposes) also contain the following data: IP Address, Windows computer name, Windows domain name, and Windows user name of every person running an analysis.

AIT does not determine the purposes and means of the data processing by YouTube. If you want to learn more about the processing of your personal data by YouTube please get in contact with them.

Maximum Storage time

Information about licensees is stored until this information is no longer needed to manage licenses. Information about the users that ran an analysis on AIT hosted THREATGET instances are stored for 48 hours. .

Data from website visitors is stored for 52 weeks. If you get in touch with us, we will store your request and your contact details indefinitely.

In order to ensure an adequate level of data security, backups are conducted in regular intervals. Due to economic respectively technical reasons, backups are only deleted at certain times. Technical respectively organizational measures have been taken to ensure, that personal data within backups are processed in a restricted manner until backups can be deleted.

Your rights

If AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH processes your personal data, you have the right of access to your personal data. In addition you have the right to obtain the rectification or erasure of your data. You further have the right to obtain the restriction of processing or the right to transmit your data to another controller under the specific terms of the General Data Protection Regulation.
